I had a wonderful stay at Heschuk Homestays during my Leh–Ladakh trip. It truly felt like a home away from home. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered beautiful views that made every morning special. What stood out the most was the warmth and hospitality of the host (special mention to Miss Padma) she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with local tips and guidance for exploring Ladakh. The food was fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious, which added to the overall experience. After long days of travel, coming back to such a peaceful and cozy place made all the difference. We had a delightful stay. The property is very clean and well maintained, with great local vibes (lived the dining room with carpets and pillows for seating). Nice view out the window (photo shared). The host, Ms. Yang was incredibly kind and helped us out a lot vith various tips for our travels around Ladakh region. The guesthouse a little away from the main Leh market area, but we found that as a positive thing as it was peaceful and quiet. You can still walk to Leh Market, takes maybe 15-20 mins. It's downhill TO the market but coming back is a hike 😁 Wouldn't recommend walking on your first day in Leh while acclimatizing, but otherwise is ok if you're inclined for a good walk. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Leh, no question. ~ Alyda H

Stayed for 4 nights total in June 2022. Padma and all the staff (Rahul, etc) were so caring and always present —even over WhatsApp— for any questions and needs we had during our stay. Padma checked in on us multiple times ask to how we were feeling after flying into Leh, booked our airport cabs, gave us tips for how to spend our time, and is generally great to talk to. The location is a 20-minute walk from the main market and therefore quieter and more relaxing for all our altitude adjustment needs. The terrace was a needed sunny spot with an incredible view! The food is great, served in a communal dining room. the rooms are cute and clean, and we were able to store our baggage there while we went on a trek. I highly recommend this guesthouse and would stay there again! ~ Priyanka P

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Heschek. The highlight of the experience was the incredibly warm hospitality from the host, who made us feel more like family than guests. The property offers breathtaking views of the Leh mountains, especially during sunrise and sunset — truly unforgettable. One of the most special touches was being served an amazing local Ladakhi dish on the house, which gave us an authentic taste of the region and showed the genuine care and generosity of the hosts. Stayed here in May 2019 and it was such a wonderful experience right from the room (best views, spacious, clean), the hospitality (welcoming and helpful owner and family), the food (tasty, customizable, healthy options, fresh) and the way each aspect is managed by them. Back then not all SIM cards worked in Ladakh so Heschuk's dependable internet (WiFi) network came to my rescue . I had the best time in such a scenic place thanks to a stress-free and homely stay I had at Heschuk. I loved their food too and not to forget, their kitchen staff was very good. I highly recommend this place. Caution: it is quite a walk uphill from downtown and a bit away from the main city square but for me it was part of the experience and I love hiking. For those who are not inclined to walk or having constraints etc. may take this point into consideration. ~ Titu T

Some places give you a room to stay… but Heschuk Guest House gave us memories, warmth, and a feeling of home. The food was made with so much love, every meal felt comforting after a long day in Leh. The host is one of the sweetest and most caring people we have ever met — always smiling, always helping, making us feel like family instead of guests. Everything here was perfect: the hospitality, the atmosphere, the kindness, and the peaceful feeling this place gives. Leaving this guest house feels like leaving home. The most amazing experience of my life. It was more like a home away from home. The guest house is located in Khakshal that gives you the most beautiful view of the Leh-ladakh in it's own surrounded by Ladakh Ranges and giving a beautiful view of Stok peak and Zanskar ranges from the balcony/rooms amidst most peaceful locality of Leh Town. Host Padma ensures that every guest feels like home while staying here. Rooms are clean with all basic amenities available. Food is delicious and freshly cooked Have spent more than 2 weeks here at Heshuk as we liked the property & food too much. Looking forward to come back here once again. ~ PRATEEK A

We had the most amazing stay at Heschuk guest house. Padma, the owner, was honestly incredible. She helped us booking taxis, she was very helpful when we were not feeling well, she was always available when we needed something. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced this level of service anywhere, and on top of that, for such an affordable price. I would also like to mention the staff that were serving us food and drinks. They were always so kind. I really wish we could stay longer. The week we spent at Heschuk will be one of my most cherished travel memories. 🙏🏼 ~ Diana H

I travelled Leh from Bangladesh and I found Heschuk Guest House really outstanding. I stayed there 4 nights. Hot water was available, the food was up to the mark and enjoyed great hospitality. Mrs. Padma (the owner) is a nice lady who helped to sort out everything needed. The most positive thing was the view from the room. It was really great. However, I would also like to mention that the guest house is a bit far from the Leh main market. So, the guests should be prepared to pay around 500 INR for the taxi rent (pick and drop). Calm, clean and comfortable place to stay at Leh. The property is around 10-15 minutes from airport. It’s easy to locate and find using google map. The host was really friendly. All services were prompt. Leh market is 15 minutes walk from house. We just stayed for one day ( our last day of Leh trip) but highly recommend this place for all opting to stay at Leh. They have a common dining area. Hot water is available. One need to climb stairs to reach upstairs as accommodation is in first and second floor. Overall great stay ! ~ Allan S

What a great place to stay while you are in Leh city. Its little away from hustle bustle of the city but still very close by. Its calm. Rooms are big n well appointed. They do serve hone made food which is excellent. Top terrace is big plus point if you want to enjoy your T looking at mountains. Owners are very polite n professional. If you are having your car with you they do provide private parking space near by. Absolutely good place to enjoy your vacation in budget and luxury. ~ Aniruddha J

We had a really homely feeling and bestest experience here at heschuk, padma was really helpful and caring felt like home.padma was very empathetic and professional asked us multiple times about altitude sickness, suggested best places to eat and site see, served us local food made from home grown organic ingredients it was too yum, we were like a spoiled children making demand about certain local dishes which she happily fulfilled. We had a great experience at Heschuk! A perfect place to lay low while we were adjusting to the altitude before a big trek. We spent three nights at Heschuk, enjoyed the food and Padma’s accessibility in providing support, and then stored our baggage there (for free!) before returning after our trek for a night. Padma also found us a cab to the airport for the morning after very late notice, which was much appreciated and speaks to the attention and care they provide! ~ Sarah K

Very clean guesthouse with very welcoming and helpful hosts. Rooms and location are exactly as on photos, views from the rooms are amazing. Padma and her husband has taken a good care of us and helped a lot (especially with a medical care for our child), despite being busy with an important family function. I stayed at Heschuk Homestay in Leh, located about a kilometer from the main market and near Lamdon School. This homestay offers a peaceful and quiet stay away from the touristy areas of Leh. The views from the property are stunning, and all the rooms are beautifully lit. The amenities include private parking, a spacious cupboard, basic toiletries, multiple charging points, a running geyser, and fresh drinking water available 24/7. Airtel and Jio postpaid services work well here, making it ideal for remote work. The homestay is exceptionally well-maintained, with spotless rooms and floors. The owner, Padma, ensures everything is kept in perfect condition, creating a home-like atmosphere. I stayed for a week and never once felt like I was in a foreign place. The rates are surprisingly affordable considering the high-quality services provided. The food is excellent, with a decent variety of options available if you prefer not to dine out. However, since everything is prepared fresh, it’s best to place your order an hour or two in advance. Overall, my experience at Heschuk Homestay was perfect. ~ Sonali V

A very nice place to stay. If you want to stay away from the hustle of the city then you must visit the place. Warm, hospitable and caring hosts. Impeccably clean rooms. Serve made-to-order vegetarian food- all home style with possible healthier customizations. Location is perfect for people who want to avoid crowded areas and don't mind being away from stores and shopping. We had a wonderful time at Heschuk. It was a great place to acclimatise with wonderful views of the stok kangri range, comfortable and clean rooms, nutritious and fresh food. Padma and her team were there to help us with everything we needed and cater to all our requests. Very nice guest house with an amazing view. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Also the staff is very helpful and friendly. Even though the guest house's location is a bit far from Leh main market, I would highly recommand that place, as the walk to the market is good for health and helps to acclimatize to the altitude of approx. 3500m. Such a cosy and homely place to come to. An absolute feel and experience of Leh, is what we got here. Location is nice too! What we’d like to call out most, is how helpful the hosts were. Had a wonderful experience at Heschuk. The location is away from the hustle bustle of the main town; however, one can have a leisurely ~10 min walk to the market. Padma was quite supportive during the whole stay - be it suggestions for local shopping, cab bookings. Padma was very kind enough to allow us to store luggage while we were off to Nubra. ~ Vaibhav B
